Hailing from the quiet and sleepy suburbs of South Hampshire, The High Wire Act are Robert Coaché, Patrick Evans & Michael Groves. The band were formed in 2011 following on from a solo project of the same name. The band are known for their tales of love, loss and low rent glamour.

Described as "Anthemic" by Swedens Radio Andra, the band are rapidly obtaining a cult following on the south coast following the release of 2014s Vultures. The band have been described by critics as a great british guitar band, the natural successors to Suede, The Smiths and Joy Division, carrying with them tales of low rent glamour, seedy places and love. The ability to see beauty in the mundane and everyday is something to celebrate.

Following several successful shows at some famous small venues such as The Joiners in Southampton and Portsmouth's Wedgewood Rooms the band began recording their debut album. This recording was done over the course of 12 months due to time restrictions and limited funds, but finally there was a finished product to justify the hype.
The album was released in the 15th December 2015, and featured actress Candice Owens on the front cover laying in a bath. The album was released to excellent reviews and a packed show at The Wedgewood Rooms on Portsmouth's legendry Albert Road.
Shortly after the release of the album, drummer Brett Littleproud also left the group by mutual consent and was replaced by Michael Groves.
The band have constantly working with the local charity Tonic Music for Mental Health, a charity close to the heart of the band, and a charity that helped to fund their early work and the album recording. The charity helps provide musical therapies to people recovering from mental health issues.

Following the bands performance at 2016's Victorious Festival, where the band played with such celebrated acts as Manic Street Preachers, Noel Gallagher, The Editors and The Coral, the band returneed to the rehearsal room to begin work on the second album.
